The Eureka Fire Protection District will accept applications and resumes to establish a hiring list for future positions until March 20, 2026, at 4:30 PM.
Applications are available at the District Headquarters, 4849 Hwy 109, Eureka, Missouri 63025, Monday -Friday between 8 AM and 4:30 PM, or online here.
Completed applications and resumes must be submitted electronically or delivered to District Headquarters by 4:30 PM on March 20, 2026.
All applicants must be a licensed driver and a Missouri State Licensed EMT-P.
Prior Fire Service Experience and St. Louis County Certified Fire Fighter I & II are desirable.
Candidates who have not previously completed the St. Louis County Fire Academy must submit a valid CPAT card prior to being hired. Graduates of the St. Louis County Fire Academy do NOT need to turn in a CPAT card.
Documentation of the above is required.
In addition, applicants must provide a current state background and license check or pay $75. Those choosing to pay $75 must do so at District Headquarters.
Written testing will be conducted on the evening of March 24, 2026, at 6 PM or the morning of March 25, 2026, at 9 AM at the Eureka Fire Training Center, 18765 Old Highway 66, Pacific, Missouri 63069. Candidates only need to attend one session.
Interviews (with scenario-based questions) will be conducted on April 3, 2026, beginning at 8:30 AM and on April 6, 2026, starting at 4 PM. This portion will also be conducted at the Eureka Fire Training Center, and candidates will only need to attend one session.
A resume review is also conducted as part of the hiring process.
